There were some typical Crouch things, but I won't mention what, as it could be spoilery or give a wrong impression. I'm also someone who thinks about mortality a lot, and since this book covers that topic amongst many others - it might have hit me deeper than most. That might sound like a negative comment, but a story that can hit me so deeply is a good piece of fiction in my opinion. The story made me feel like life was pointless but also question reality and it's definition. It was a true roller-coaster, unravelling in stages, until it was spiralling out of control. I wasn't expecting the story to go where it did, and couldn't predict what would happen next at all. Probably the strongest read in the collection so far - but do note I'm not listening to them in order. Blake Crouch never fails to impress me, his writing never disappoints.
